Identifying All Network Devices on your Local Network

Posted on June 26, 2025
by Brent Deverman

I needed to find if my Synology was showing on my network and after rebooting. Upon researching I found this command that will give you a list of ips and the MAC address for all your network devices on MacOS Sequoia:

arp -a

Once I had this list I could find the MAC address for the Synology and then identify the ip address to connect of my NAS.
